Stars

• Each round highlights the answer plus 1 other county. A game is 10 rounds. No retries: each answer counts.
• Get a county right: +5 XP. Get it right again the next time it comes up: 🔥 +10 XP, and every time after that while the streak lasts.
• A wrong answer costs no XP, but breaks that county's streak.
• At 25 XP a county earns its ★: that's 3 right in a row, or 5 right in all. A thin bar under the stars shows how close it is.
• Counties without a ★ come up most often.
• Earn a ★ for all counties to finish the game.

Games and XP

• A game is up to 10 rounds (fewer once most counties are maxed). No retries: each answer counts.
• Get a county right: +5 XP. Get it right again the next time it comes up: 🔥 +10 XP, and every time after that while the streak lasts.
• A wrong answer costs no XP, but breaks that county's streak.
• XP raises the county's level: ★ at 25 XP, ★★ at 50, and ★★★ 💎 maxed at 100. A thin bar under the stars shows how close it is to the next one.
• Maxed counties don't come up again. Counties furthest behind come up most often.

Stages

• After the warm-up, XP resets and Stage 1 highlights the answer plus 2 other counties.
• Every 80 right answers you move up a stage, with one more wrong choice. Wrong answers never set you back, so take your time. The wrong choices also come from closer to the answer, so you have to know the exact spot. From Stage on it's the whole map, no highlights.

Winning the game

• Max all counties 💎 to win the whole game, whatever stage you're on. The map on the home screen shows how close you are.
• Max every county in a region, like , to conquer it.
• The fewer games it takes after the warm-up, the better your medal: 🥇 within games, 🥈 within , 🥉 after that.
• After you win, every county stays maxed and you can play any stage you like, just for fun.

🔥 Hard Mode

A perfect game on every stage unlocked a new set of challenges, under 🔥 Hard Mode on the home screen. Nothing lights up the answer for you here: it's all from memory. Hard Mode never changes your stars or XP.
